Impact Jamaica 2012

A number of years ago I co- founded a missions organization called, "The Pearls Foundation".  The goal of The Pearls Foundation was to reach the nations God directed us to, taking individuals on missions trips to reach people through outreach and evangelism.  The 2-fold result being bringing the reality of Jesus to the lost while helping the team to discover the  calling and destiny for their lives. Over a few years time, We made multiple journeys to the island of Grenada and also to Guadalajara Mexico.   My time spent in Grenada instilled deep inside my heart a strong desire to see the power of God released in the Caribbean islands and to see them fulfill their destiny as a group of island nations. Last year I had the opportunity, through a series of God-ordained events, to travel to Jamaica and to spend some time with a man of God named Tommy Cowan. Tommy Cowan is among music royalty in Jamaica.  As a long time musician, producer, and manager, Tommy worked with Bob Marley. Years ago, Tommy gave his life to Jesus and has been working to change the culture of Jamaica to bring Jesus to the people, through the music and entertainment industries. Over ten years ago, Tommy started an event held in Jamaica called "Fun in the Son”. This event, the largest of its kind in the entire Caribbean, brings together dynamic pastors, speakers and christian artists to an all day event for Jesus.  The events purpose is to glorify Jesus and bring hundreds, if not thousands, to know and accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord.  This event has attracted names in Christian music such as Kirk Franklin, Toby Mac, and Nicole C. Mullins, to name a few. When I traveled to Jamaica and spent time with Tommy, I was introduced to the people of Jamaica and their culture.  I saw a people burning with passion and desire to see God move among them.   From speaking with Tommy I came to realize that an older family member of mine who was a popular country singer/song writer, had toured in Jamaica many years ago and that the people were wildly in love with her music and influence.  I knew God brought me to Jamaica for a reason to use the influence of that legacy to further His kingdom! We will be partnering with the ministry there taking part in this  year’s Fun in the Son festival taking  place in National Heros park in downtown Kingston on July 14th. Our trip is July 9th through July 16th, and will give us the opportunity along with ministering at the festival, we'll be traveling to local girls’ homes and speaking at a few churches about God's mighty plan for Jamaica! God is moving powerfully in Jamaica and the people are ready for a move of His Spirit.   We would love for you to be involved in this journey with us.  You can partner with what God is doing in the Caribbean by praying.  Pray for lives changed; pray for the lost to be found; pray for callings and destinies to be revealed, and pray for us.
